Kristi Ramey

Owner, Postpartum Doula/Overnight Care  Coordinator

Dual Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, Certified Lactation Counselor,  Childbirth Instructor, Sleep Coach

It has been my mission for over 20 years to help new couples grow their families and become confident 

parents from day one! My desire is to share my knowledge and experience throughout the changes that a new baby brings to a family.

As a mother of four, I understand how important birth is in a women's life. My goal is to provide you with exceptional care and support before, during and after your birth. Birth and pregnancy is filled with lots of questions and emotions and I want to help you navigate through this experience so you feel strong and confident no matter where or how you birth.

Heydi Marshall

Postpartum Doula and Overnight Care Doula

Having grown up in a large family, and a mother of three, Heydi has long enjoyed caring for babies and their families. Serving in her “dream job” as an (overnight) Postpartum Doula, she loves the chance to come alongside women in their homes. Heydi also speaks fluent Spanish.

Annie Ramey

Newborn Care Specialist, Overnight Care and  Daytime Care, Temp Nanny

Antionette Ramey grew up watching her own mother serve as a doula and breastfeeding expert. After finishing her certification for Early Childhood Education in 2018 and taking time to travel Europe, she began serving with RBB as a Newborn Care Specialist and part-time nanny.

Lindsay Shaughnessy

Postpartum Doula, Overnight Care 

 Birth and Postpartum Doula, Lindsey and her family have been involved in serving families and children for years; through foster care, and community outreach. A mother of three, she is passionate about supporting each unique journey into motherhood.

Amy Moore

Birth and Postpartum Doula, Overnight Care

With a background in Child Development and a love for all things birth, becoming a birth doula came naturally for Amy. She began her certification process in 2017, and has a passion for supporting women and families through pregnancy and birth. Amy has personal experience serving in the homebirth realm as well as all hospitals in the RVA area. Additional  training in Spinning Babies Technique. She is fluent in Spanish.

Nancy Burt

Birth  Doula

Nancy has a Masters in Christian Ministry and Counseling and is a Life Coach specializing in marriages. A mother of over 20 years, she brings years of experience to our team, both professionally and personally. Nancy speaks fluent Hatian Creole.

Carolyn Wilburt

 Registered Nurse, NICU, IBCLC, Postpartum Doula

Carolyn serves the Richmond community as an RN in St. Mary’s Hospital (NICU). In her spare time, she brings her wide range of skills to our team!

Abbey O'Toole

Placenta Encapsulator,  Birth and Postpartum  Doula 

Abbey jumped into the birth world in 2018, and has since completed her training. Serving as a doula and our very own placenta encapsulation expert, Abbey brings a holistic mindset to the birth experience and everything that follows.

Valerie Mickell

Postpartum Doula

Valerie has always enjoyed calling the Greater Richmond Area her home. The daughter of a neonatal nurse and a pediatric critical care doctor, her passion for everything baby was sparked early in childhood when her family provided foster care to newborns. She believes that the early days and weeks at home with your baby are a time to be cherished and enjoyed to the fullest! Valerie is a volunteer NICU cuddler at VCU, holding premature babies to help them thrive.

Ruthy Green

Ruth joined our team in 2018, and brings nearly twenty years of experience in the birth world. A mother of thirteen children herself, she knows how to care for mothers as they transition into new seasons.

Jossiphyne Ramey-Dominguez

Postpartum Doula

Jossie found a love for babies while working in an orphanage in Mexico. A mother of three children, home birther and homeschooling mom, she completed her training in 2019 and has been working as a postpartum Doula since. 

Jossie loves to teach new families how to baby wear and wrap their babies. She is a valued asset to breastfeeding parents that needs some encouragement and advice. Fluent in Spanish!

NyTasha Stevens

Birth and Postpartum Doula, Overnight Care, Childbirth Educator , CLC

As a mother of 3 boy's, including a set of twins for over 18 years, and a homeschool mom, NyTasha has often been, and continues to be an encouraging and loving nurturer for not just her own children, but for the children of family and friend's as well. It is only right that her passion and career includes supporting families on their new journey into parenthood! Trained as a HypnoBirthing Instructor (The Mongan Method)

Diamond Johnston

Birth and Postpartum Doula

Diamond, a mother of four.  After helping guide a mother through birth and spending months by her side and the baby due to unfortunate circumstances, she realized that care for mothers and their babies was extremely essential postpartum. She has 7 years of experience working with natural remedies, and helping friends and family members with their babies outside of her own.

Brianna Grocholski

 Birth and Postpartum Doula, Overnight Care

 As a mother to 3 boys, Bri understands the demands of adjusting to life with a newborn, especially with other children at home already. Bri trained as a Birth Doula and began her journey into family care as a Newborn Nanny, Postpartum Doula and Newborn Photographer.

Anique Chambers 

 Birth and Postpartum Doula, Overnight Care

Anique, wife and a mother to three children ages 10, 5, and 2 and a homeschooling mom. 

She was born in Holland and  had their first 2 children there. "In Holland, most of the
births are home births unless you have a medical reason, then you have to give birth
in a hospital. Even pain relief during birth is kept to a minimum or none.
I noticed that in the USA you are mostly on your own in the journey to starting a new

family.

At that moment I felt the need to make a difference in birth experiences and

postpartum in every way I can."
