Stephanie Coleman is a DONA trained Postpartum Doula.
Originally a Jersey girl, she and her family have called Richmond home for 3 years. Stephanie is also a licensed attorney and felt called to birth work after attending a conference on breastfeeding, nutrition, and postpartum support.

Elsa "Genevieve" Greenfield
Registered Nurse and Postpartum Doula
Genevieve is a Registered Nurse who has specialized training in Pediatrics, Mother-Infant, and the Newborn Nursery.
She comes to our Team with experience and knowledge of all aspects of postpartum and newborn care, including but not limited to, breastfeeding help, peri care, newborn baths, feeding, nutrition, and recovery for the birthing family. When she is not working, you can find her keeping active with her husband and 4 children. Fluent in Spanish.

Lindsay Shaughnessy

Birth and Postpartum Doula, Lindsay and her family have been involved in serving families and children for years; through foster care, and community outreach. A mother of three, she is passionate about supporting each unique journey into motherhood.

With a background in Child Development and a love for all things birth, becoming a birth doula came naturally for Amy. She began her certification process in 2017, and has a passion for supporting women and families through pregnancy and birth. Amy has personal experience serving in the homebirth realm as well as all hospitals in the RVA area. Additional training in Spinning Babies Technique. Fluent in Spanish.

Nancy has a Masters in Christian Ministry and Counseling and is a Life Coach specializing in marriages. A mother of over 20 years, she brings years of experience to our team, both professionally and personally. Fluent in Haitian Creole.

Carolyn Wilburt
Registered Nurse, NICU, IBCLC, Postpartum Doula
Carolyn serves the Richmond community as an RN in St. Mary’s Hospital (NICU), and our IBCLC. Her love and care for new parents is evident in all that she does. We are blessed that she brings her wide range of skills to our team! Carolyn is a wife and mother and in her spare time is very crafty!

Abbey O'Toole
Placenta Encapsulator, Birth and Postpartum Doula
Abbey jumped into the birth world in 2018, and has since completed her trainings. Serving as both a doula and our very own placenta encapsulation expert, Abbey brings a holistic mindset to the birth experience and everything that follows. Abby, born and raised here in RVA, is a mom to an adventurous toddler, a stepmom to a preteen, and a fiance to her longtime love.

Valerie Mickell

Valerie has always enjoyed calling the Greater Richmond Area her home. The daughter of a neonatal nurse and a pediatric critical care doctor, her passion for everything baby was sparked early in childhood when her family provided foster care to newborns. She believes that the early days and weeks at home with your baby are a time to be cherished and enjoyed to the fullest! Valerie is a volunteer NICU cuddler at VCU, holding premature babies to help them thrive.

Ruth joined our team in 2018, and brings nearly twenty years of experience in the birth world. A wife and mother of 13 children herself, she knows how to care for mothers as they transition into new seasons. Her personal birthing experiences range from homebirth, hospital birth and NICU time.

Jossie found a love for babies while working in an orphanage in Mexico. A mother of 4 children, home birther, and homeschooling mom, she completed her training in 2019 and has been working as a postpartum Doula since.
Jossie loves to teach new families how to baby wear and wrap their babies. She is a valued asset to breastfeeding parents that needs some encouragement and advice. Fluent in Spanish.

Antionette, "Annie the Nanny" grew up watching her own mother serve as a Doula and breastfeeding expert. After college and finishing her certification for Early Childhood Education in 2018, working in a daycare for 2 years and taking time to travel Europe, she began serving with RBB as a Newborn Care Specialist and part-time nanny.

This desire led Nicole to earn her Childbirth Educator Certification through BirthWorks International! Her mission is to decrease fear surrounding birth and help women feel empowered in their choices and confident in their body so that they can have a transformative birthing experience.
