Kayla is originally from Maryland, but moved to Virginia to attend JMU (Go Dukes!). She is a wife and mother of two young boys. After having a C-Section with her first son, she knew she desired a different experience for her next birth and was able to have a successful VBAC with her second. That experience sparked a love of all things birth for Kayla and she decided to become a doula in order to serve others. Kayla loves helping other women feel confident and empowered in their choices. A previous elementary school teacher, Kayla enjoys using her teaching and critical thinking skills to help educate clients on the most up to date information and resources. Kayla looks forward to meeting and supporting clients who are excited and ready to embrace birth!
