Leigh is Mama to 4 incredible boys earth-side and 1 precious girl in heaven. She got married in 2011, then spent 12 years in India helping her husband with an international business, while also growing their family. Her 3 older sons were all born in New Delhi. In 2023, Leigh & her family returned to the USA, where she had their 4th boy here in Richmond.

 

Leigh has experienced many types of births (personally & professionally), from c-sections in a hospital, to waterbirths at home, and is familiar with the NICU system/babies born prematurely. After having the birth she’d always hoped for with her 4th son (and supporting many couples in a young adult group she oversees), her passion for birth came to life! She completed her birth and postpartum doula certifications and is excited to help other families experience the birth of their dreams.

 

Leigh’s background includes a Master’s Degree in Teaching and an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies. She hopes to use her background in teaching in childbirth education in the future. Outside of doula work, Leigh enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and trying all kinds of delicious, international food!
