Meet Jasmin
Birth Doula

I became a doula because I’ve always found the birthing process deeply fascinating and empowering. When I gave birth to my two children, it was the most meaningful and exciting part of my pregnancy—and I knew I wanted to help others experience that same sense of support and strength.
Before becoming a doula, I worked as a nanny, caring for multiple families and helping raise their children. That experience taught me the importance of communication, empathy, and comfort—skills that directly carry over into my work as a doula today.
In addition to my passion for supporting families, I’m also a dedicated animal lover. I volunteer with Cat’s Cradle, a local cat rescue, which brings me a great deal of fulfillment. At home, I live with my husband, our two toddler-aged children, and our cat, Pinkerton. When fostering, I set up a special room in our house just for our rescue cats.
I grew up in Northern Virginia and moved to Richmond when I got married—my husband and I were ready for a change, and he accepted a job here. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family, reading, or catching up on my favorite shows. Right now, you’ll usually find Law & Order: SVU playing in the background while I unwind.
