Leann Ragland

Certifications and Training: Birth Doula (DONA 2019), Trained in Spinning Babies, First Aid and CPR (Red Cross)

She is currently an advocate and case worker at VCU Health with a program

called Project Empower, working with women who are pregnant/postpartum and experiencing domestic and sexual assault.

Leann’s goal is to practice compassionate and holistic care for all families entering parenthood. She works with parents to feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their pregnancy and birth.

She believes that "Birth is a sacred experience" and Leann hopes to enrich that for each family, holding space and an open mind, while being a guide throughout their journey. She is supportive of all ways in

which families decide the path for them to bring their baby into this world and meets each client where they are in the process, following their lead.

Outside of work, Leann enjoys spending time with her 3-year-old son, taking him on adventures throughout Richmond and other areas, and they love spending time outdoors. She also likes to read and

listen to podcasts and in her free time, you can usually find her spending time with friends and family.
