M.A., RYT, RPYT, Perinatal Yoga
Hannah is a Virginian mother, musician, artist, and yoga practitioner. She has been a student of the Ashtanga Yoga tradition since 2011, and in 2013, Hannah graduated from the Charlottesville Yoga School (now Ivy Yoga School).
In 2020, while pregnant with her son, Hannah studied at the Yoga Education Institute and earned certification as a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. Having experienced the tremendous benefits of a consistent yoga and mindfulness practice during her own pregnancy and transition into motherhood, Hannah decided to pivot her teaching efforts towards working with the perinatal population.
In 2021, Hannah created Peaceful Seedling LLC– a Richmond, VA based perinatal yoga studio dedicated to offering safe, accessible, and creative yoga classes personalized to support holistic well-being before, during and after pregnancy.
With nearly ten years of experience teaching in a variety of styles of yoga, Hannah enjoys helping old and new yoga students alike to find a practice that is sustainable throughout their pregnancy and postpartum recovery period. She employs modifications, hands-on adjustments (with consent), and optional props to ensure that her students remain safe and comfortable during their practice.
Hannah brings a balance of tradition and playfulness to her teaching style and threads her love of music throughout her classes. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in openness, empathy, and a willingness to embrace each student as unique to their path. Hannah believes that there is no better time to take care of your mind and body than when bringing new life into the world, and she is honored to support her students through the ancient art of yoga.
