Layla graduated from VCU in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology. She has worked with children ranging in age from newborns to 13 year olds for the last 10+ years. She has worked as a Counselor at multiple summer camps, worked in several church nurseries, and also worked for River City Sitters in Richmond while attending VCU. Layla spent four years working for a family as a full time Nanny post College. In the summer of 2022, she realized her passion had moved towards helping mothers navigate through their fourth trimester. At this time, she began a comprehensive training program to become a Certified Postpartum Doula through CAPPA Academy. She currently lives in Chester with her fiance and in her free time she enjoys reading and strength training. Layla is a very organized and compassionate person and has a drive to keep learning and growing within her career.
